Cosmetic Surgery to Fix Morton's Toe:
Dr. Sherr can give your feet a new look by shortening your toes. This procedure is common for those with Morton's toe. A small portion of bone from one or two joints of the toe are removed to bring the toe down to the desired length.
Dr. Sherr can also lengthen short toes by placing a silicone implant into one of the joints. Cosmetic toe surgery is day surgery and is performed at the hospital. Most patients are able to walk after the surgery, however it's important to keep the feet elevated for 2 full days. Healing time is approximately 3-4 weeks. |
